Why the Guardian is changing the language it uses about the environment.

This news article is talking about how the Guardian has changed the language that was used about the environment problem, for example, they started using a new term such as climate emergency instead of climate change or global heating instead of global warming, by using this language, they push their readers to pay attention to this problem. the writer used many quotations to support his idea and to refer to this change and how it affects the environment, for example, the quotation of the United Nations secretary-general, Antonio Guterres when talked of the climate crisis "we face a direct existential threat" and how the term "global heating" was more accurate to describe this issue.and many of political parties and other famous people like the pope have started using these terms. On the other hand, the writer light upon the carbon emissions and how it must halve by 2030, and on the destruction of the ecosystems and the side effect of this destruction, such as drought, floods and so forth, the Guardian has used another updating it is the global carbon dioxide level , this term was added to its daily weather pages and how this level has increased dramatically by the human activities all this change in the language has leaded people to pay their attention to this current problem.
